Dr. Justin A. Ratcliffe is the Chief Medical Officer at Sorin Medical, P.C. Dr. Ratcliffe is also an Interventional Cardiologist specializing in complex percutaneous coronary intervention and is a leading national expert in the endovascular treatment of peripheral vascular disease. He has performed extensive research in these fields with many peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national meetings. Dr. Ratcliffe is passionate about advancing the innovation and development of minimally invasive interventional techniques for the treatment of heart and vascular disease. He has pioneered alternate access sites – as opposed to the traditional femoral approaches – in order to provide patients with safer, more comfortable and effective treatment options that can be performed in an outpatient, office-based setting. Furthermore, he is committed to serving all communities with superior medical care by bringing a comprehensive yet personalized approach, and utilizing a vast network of resources to efficiently take care of his patients.
After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley, Dr. Ratcliffe attended medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and then completed Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York. He completed a Master of Business Administration degree at Columbia University and is Board Certified in multiple specialities including Interventional Cardiology, Endovascular Medicine, and Peripheral vascular ultrasound. Dr. Ratcliffe currently holds an academic appointment at Columbia University Medical Center. He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Interventions (FSCAI).
