Dr. Yelena Mazurskaya has been an internal medicine physician at Sorin Medical since 2014. She is a trained pediatrician and osteopathic physician and board certified in Family Medicine, with over 35 years of clinical experience.
Dr. Mazurskaya graduated from Semashko Medical School in Moscow with a Doctor of Medicine. She began her career as an attending physician in the Department of Congenital and Hereditary Disease at the National Research Center for Pediatrics and Children’s Surgery and worked there for nearly a decade. In 1995, Dr. Mazurskaya moved to New York and attended the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where she graduated with a Doctor of Osteopathy. Shortly after, she went on to complete her family practice residency at Peninsula Hospital Center.
Prior to joining Sorin Medical, she worked as a group associate and staff physician in various hospitals across New York. Dr. Mazurskaya is also a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Mazurskaya’s depth and breadth of experience dealing with patients with complex medical issues makes her an invaluable part of the Sorin team. She embodies the commitment to individualized community based care. She is a member of the Sorin Medical Women’s Heart Health Initiative and has spent more than 25 years treating underserved communities in New York.
