Dr. Vladimir Kozhinskiy has worked as an attending physician with Sorin Medical since 2014. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and brings over 40 years of clinical experience from Uzbekistan to the United States.
Dr. Kozhinskiy graduated from Samarkand State Medical Institute with a Doctor of Medicine and later earned his PhD in cardiology at the Hospital of National State Center of Cardiology. In Uzbekistan, he practiced in the field of cardiology for 22 years first as a Clinical Assistant and Clinical Associate Professor at the Tashkent Medical School, and later as the Chief of Cardiology and Chairman of Medicine at the National State Center of Emergency Medicine of Uzbekistan. In 2002, he immigrated to the United States and completed his residency at Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital. Before joining the Sorin Medical team, he worked as an attending physician at Staten Island University Hospital.
Throughout his career, Dr. Kozhinskiy has published 51 articles and was awarded a patent for his method for diagnosing and treating coronary artery disease. Dr. Kozhinskiy remains dedicated to helping his patients improve their health and enriching the lives of those in his care.
