Jose Davis, MSN, RN, is an adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner committed to advancing health equity and improving outcomes through evidence-based, patient-centered care. At Sorin Medical, he brings extensive clinical expertise in cardiology, critical care, and emergency medicine, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize both medical and rehabilitative outcomes.
Mr. Davis earned his Master of Science in Nursing from La Salle University, specializing in the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program. He previously completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Rutgers University and an Associate Degree in Nursing at St. Francis Medical Center School of Nursing. Currently practicing as a cardiac catheterization nurse, Mr. Davis integrates clinical excellence with education, providing bedside instruction for new nurses in the management of acute coronary syndromes, cardiovascular hemodynamics, hypertension, and cardiogenic shock. His guidance ensures that emerging clinicians develop the critical thinking and procedural skills essential for high-acuity cardiac care.
Beyond clinical practice, Mr. Davis is actively engaged in research focused on primary prevention in minority populations, smoking cessation, and the impact of glucose control on cardiovascular outcomes. He is pursuing his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Rutgers University-Newark, where his academic work centers on addressing social determinants of health and designing innovative interventions within the primary care setting.
